Keep an eye out today for a very special ANZAC Day Ginger Meggs published in memory of our brave Aussie diggers. This year marks the 100th Anniversary of our ANZAC troops landing at Gallipoli in 1915.
I'm very lucky to have had my granddad around a lot growing up. He was enlisted in Geraldton in 1943 when he was 23. He spent his 20's fighting, losing a lot of mates and only recently started telling us some of the awful things they had to experience at such a young age.
He got through the toughest times with great humour, songs and having great mates. He still remembers the jokes and songs and tells them to us today.
He'll be 96 this June and still attends every ANZAC Day march. Proud to be his grandson and very grateful for his and his mates' sacrifice.
Lest We Forget.
Update: Some people have been asking if they can have prints of the above cartoon. You can get them here.
