AC/DC fans are eagerly awaiting next week’s unveiling of a statue of rock god Bon Scott by Fremantle sculptor Greg James. The tribute to AC/DC’s former front man will be held up to a crowd of 10,000 at the Aussie Rock Concert at Claremont Showgrounds on Sunday (24th Feb)
It will then be placed somewhere in Scott’s former hometown of Fremantle, but just WHERE exactly is still a mystery. On April 18 2006, Joan Walsh Smith and Charles Smith unveiled their sculpture of wartime prime minister John Curtin in St John’s Square next to Fremantle town hall.
Maybe they’ll give Curtin some company…
