Jason Chatfield is a Western Australian cartoonist now based in Melbourne, Victoria.

Now 23, he works primarily as the writer and cartoonist on the 88-year-old Australian comic strip, Ginger Meggs. His work appears daily in 120 newspapers in over 30 countries around the world.
Jason also works as an editorial/political cartoonist for the Herald and Voice newspapers group producing editorial cartoons every week for the Perth Voice as well as Perth-Based website Loconut.com.au

At 18, Jason was made a Full Member of the Australian Cartoonists' Association, the oldest organisation of its kind in the world having been established in 1924.
At the 21st Annual Stanley Awards in the Blue Mountains (NSW) Jason was the winner of the 2005 Australian Bill Mitchell Award for Best up and Coming Cartoonist (Under 25) in Australia.
In 2006 Jason was elected the Vice President (WA) of the Australian Cartoonists' Association, taking over from Sunday Times cartoonist Greg Smith, and was later promoted to the position of National Deputy President in 2007.
