Context: This week saw Arnold Schwarzzenegger put his foot down after a request from president Bush to move more troops to the California/Mexico border. The governator's reasoning was that in the event of a natural disaster or act of terrorism his national guard forces would be stretched too thin to respond. This came as president Bush announced that he was bringing troops home from Iraq after 5 years.
Interesting how the governator hasn't done anything up until now, just before election time. Pure coincidence I'm sure.
