Context : Fat cat public servants have been reported to recieve massive pay rises of up to 24%. A shocking
example is Department of Premier and Cabinet director-general Mal Wauchope, who will get an extra
$66,500 a year. Public servants' salaries have gone up a third in the last four years. This all comes as
this week an elderly woman in Maylands had her (government-funded) Homeswest house broken into.
She then
requested two new doors an a lightbulb, but was refused.. because it "costs too much"...
