Context
: WA Premier Geoff Gallop has resigned today after 4 years at the helm.
Dr. Gallop has been notorious for only coming out and reporting to the media when he has good
news, hence he has over time gained the nick-name "Good News Geoff."
(His reason for resigning is due to health concerns, namely; depression.)

4:45pm, MONDAY 16th JANUARY 2006
This cartoon was sent to 6PR Perth Radio on Monday afternoon (16th January) where
Bob Maumil and Howard Sattler ridiculously misinterpreted the message and tore the cartoon
and the Fremantle Herald, undeservedly, to shreds.
I will say now, that this cartoon is NOT IN ANY WAY making light of Dr. Gallop's terrible
condition - I HAVE MADE NO REFERENCE either DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY
to depression, illness, ill-health or Dr. Gallop being depressed.
For anyone to say that I am referring to Dr. Gallop's depression is ignorant and stupid.
